Can you get banned for buying DonutSMP money?

Yes, it is possible. Any server can act on real-money trading if it chooses to, and a seller who tells you the risk is zero is telling you something they cannot know. In practice it is uncommon, and the cases that do happen tend to share a short list of causes — none of which is the purchase itself.

What actually gets people actioned

Chargebacks. Reversing a payment after receiving the goods leaves a trail that reaches the server, and it is the most reliable way to turn a purchase into a problem.

Account sharing. Handing your login to somebody so they can deliver for you is against the rules on essentially every server, and it is treated far more seriously than a trade.

Patterns that do not look like play. A very large sum arriving on a brand-new account, or one account receiving from many strangers in a short window, is the shape that gets noticed. An ordinary payment to an established account is not.

Advertising. Being visibly involved in selling — spamming chat, plastering signs — draws attention that quietly buying never does.

What does not, on its own

Receiving a payment from another player is a normal action that happens thousands of times a day for entirely ordinary reasons. It is not by itself evidence of anything, which is why a delivery that looks like any other in-game payment is unremarkable.

How to keep it ordinary

Never share account details with anyone, for any reason, including a seller offering to do it for you. Take delivery in-game rather than through anything needing access. Do not charge back — raise it with the seller, who has more to lose than you do from an unresolved order. If you are buying a large amount on a new account, there is no harm in splitting it.

Where we stand on it

Deliveries here are ordinary in-game payments from an established account, in normal amounts, with no account access requested at any point — which is the shape that does not attract attention. No dough.gg buyer has reported a ban to us.

That describes a track record rather than a guarantee. Anyone offering you a guarantee about somebody else's moderation decisions is inventing it. The honest version is that the risk is real, small, and mostly within your control.

Related questions

Has anyone been banned for buying in-game money?+

On servers generally, yes — usually alongside a chargeback, account sharing or open advertising, rather than for a single quiet purchase.

Does buying a large amount at once increase the risk?+

A very large sum landing on a new account with no history is the pattern most likely to be looked at. On an established account it is unremarkable. Splitting a first large order costs nothing.

Is it safer if delivery is automated?+

What matters is that delivery is an in-game payment rather than anything involving your login. Automation makes it fast and consistent, but it is the absence of account access that keeps it ordinary.

Dough sells DonutSMP money and elytras, delivered in-game by bot. Live stock, published delivery times, and no account access ever requested.
